What patients say on Google

“Dr Hanson and staff at Albany ketamine infusions are all so welcoming to their patients. The office is relaxing with rooms set up to include lounge chairs, salt lamps and dark shades to pull down for your comfort of rest. The environment from walking onto the floor is calm. I deal with bipolar depression, anxiety and PTSD and am able to have all treated and live an enjoyable life all thanks to this form of treatment. Dr Hansen takes his time each visit to talk with you before treatment, answer any questions and or concerns and the experience altogether is very calm and pleasant. You can also have guided or unguided sessions with counselors during your scheduled visit as you see fit. 5 stars all the way.”

“I have been diagnosed with CPTSD. It wasn’t until I was told about Albany Ketamine Infusions that I FINALLY found relief from years of abuse. Everyone at AKI is amazing. They are always so kind and compassionate. If I had the money, I would pay for anyone who suffers from CPTSD or PTSD to have this treatment. They have literally saved my life!!”

“Would give zero stars, Denise is problematic and so it the main receptionist and nurse Julie W. Julie is fake and don't tell them concerns. They break Hippa laws and remove the patient instead of firing Denise for making contact after I told Julie I was uncomfortable from the situation of her hanging up on me after I tried telling the both them when no one called my ride when I fell asleep(I was over an hour late to be picked up ) and my ride walked into the office and tried calling for help to find me and no one came out ( mind you she pressed their call button for reception) in panic bc I'm disabled I've have head many major surgeries and I'm autistic. Basically I'm disabled with spine and neurological issues. They didn't follow protocol and made me so unsafe. This wasn't escalated at all to the Dr like Julie had told me it was. Mind you this happened a month ago. I ask not Denise to be around or near me. Julie said she had me. She didn't because last appointment when I was getting my vitals to go home Denise decided to walk in and talk to me BREAKING my rights and the law. I'm glad she committed a felony and I have proof. It was on the camera too because there is in one in every room. On top of that they wrote down the wrong time multiple times for my treatment and when I could leave. But to my knowledge Julie didn't bring any of this to Dr.Hasen's attention. But they sent me an email asking to leave treatment there when I've only had safely concerns because of the staff. Please be aware about your safety. I went to the ER because of the stress of it and there reply was to keep Denise and Julie when clearly they aren't fit for their job... disappointing”

“I can say without hesitation that ketamine saved my life. Dr. Hansen is the most relatable, approachable, and kindest doctor you can imagine. He listens to you intently and seems to care about his patients deeply. He spent time with me to understand my situation fully and supported me throughout my healing. He and his treatment were a big part of how I was able to begin healing from depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and PTSD. The treatment itself is painless. Dr. Hansen and his staff somehow even make inserting the IV painless! The infusion itself is unlike anything I've experienced before; the closest thing I can relate it to is a very vivid dream, though that is a wild understatement for what it is like; it's just the closest thing I can relate it to. It's always been a pleasant experience for me. The treatment rooms are comfortable and spacious. You'll sit in a big, fully reclining chair for your infusion. There's soft lighting and calming decor. It feels safe but not clinical. It's a perfectly relaxed space. The staff will bring you snacks, drinks, blankets, or anything else to make sure you're comfortable before, during, and after your treatment. Immediately after your treatment you'll be allowed to rest in the room as long as you need. Sometimes I'm ready to get up and go about my day, other times I need a nap. The staff allows you to do whatever you need. The best part is the way I feel after. My depression and anxiety melted away, and there were no adverse side effects for me at all. I've had roughly 18-20 infusions at Albany Ketamine. I've never had a bad experience. I have had one experience where the visuals were somewhat off-putting, not scary, but concerning. A nurse sat with me and talked me through it until I was better again. I wasn't left alone until I felt comfortable and safe. I continued my infusion and felt great afterward. Dr. Hansen's staff is all so compassionate. They are all saving lives. If you're looking into ketamine treatments, then your symptoms are likely unbearable. I was seriously considering suicide when I first walked into his office. Dr. Hansen worked with me and found a dose that worked. I had tried everything else under the sun! Ketamine infusions saved my life! Here are a few suggestions I have for first-timers: -Bring a blackout sleep mask (I use a Manta mask, and it's comfortable and completely blacks out everything). -Bring headphones and listen to binaural beats or something else instrumental with no words (you can also find really great playlists on Spotify). -Wear comfortable clothing. I hope everyone feels the relief and hope that I do from these life-saving treatments. Thank you, Dr. Hansen! I cannot say it enough!”
